Based in Stockholm, BOC is a small design studio practicing embedding play signals in everyday living. BOC stands for But Of Cause.

“But of course, it makes totally sense.” The idea behind is to challenging and move in-between boundaries. “But of course, we can have both style and play time embed in the same space.

BOC believe that joy is timeless, joy is creative and joy is for everyone.

Tian Tang

Tian is the founder and designer of BOC studio. Her way to approach design is grounded in real life research. She gained insights - through observation and talking to people, on these important topics which are closed to heart for her:

1.What triggers a spontaneous play?

2. What connects people?

3. What makes a product loved and used along years?

Tian has a master degree in Child Culture Design in Gothenburg University, a master degree in human interaction design and a bachelor degree in Industrial Design in China. Over the years, beyond this space, she works as a UX researcher for various companies in Stockholm.

First life, then space, then buildings. The other way around never works. A quote by Jan Gehl – that’s how I approach my work
